Hey ive heard stories that during the Proton saga Era.. ppl could MOd their cars as much as they can without JPJ approval.. "As long as it fits Go on ahead type of Approval" if so why is their so much restrictions now?

Nowadays got more cars. Younger people can afford such car and mod their cars to become ferraris. Also Gment need more money from people. :D

thats bcoz sum stupid guy mod car and go mow down a roadblock! these type of ppl doesnt help the cause of genuine modders (not to mention losing their lives too!)

that's true that's true
support u bro

Most deadly accidents caused by modded cars......Good street racers know when to press the brake.

Some ppl mod their car to go fast, but without thinking how to brake fast as well. Some ppl also mod their car to go fast, but without thinking whether their car chasis can handle it or not.

So, I'd say it's only fair for the G to impose such laws....to prevent such ppl mowing down other ppl.

When comes to modding, it's not just about 0-100 km/h, but have to consider 100-0 km/h as well.

My 2 cents....

i think modding a car is not just going to BROTHERS and adding junk accessories to ur car so it can look as if it can fly...tuning is a technical job that requires proffesionals to tinker and refine ur cars performance. if u look at most cars that are modded today are based mostly upon looks and not wats under the hood...but i admire guyz out there who have a simple looking car and a beast under the hood...they have fine tuned thier suspensions, engines and even aerodynamics to get maximum out of thier cars..and most of these guyz use thier car on tracks...and not for illegal races.
if u wanna mod to race..i think investing in track car (unreg)..and take it to the track on weekends is a better solution.

nowadays, lots of new license holders just got license..

see movies, start modding their family car,

and think they are takumi...

causing accidents and endangering roadusers...

In a way also good, at least they have to seek parental approval before tukar engine becos the car reg card is with their parents....
