Speedometer go down ... help...

Hi,

My speedo meter go to 0 after 10km , (more or less) i don' tknow whats wrong. Sometime it flactuate . izit meter problem or something doing with engine part. Where is the wire go from meter ?? Any one had this problem before.??? Any suggetions....

I think my svt 20v don't use cable laa... wire only maa....

try to check ur ECU connection...either loosen or not...

Bro, it could be the spedo sensor is kaput

it is attached to the gearbox with 2 wire (for analog meter) or 3 wire (digital meter)

try do diagnos first (E1-TE1) if not mistaken and should read 42 to confirm the faulty.

perhaps it will help.

i found already where the problem came from. It's from speedo sensor at gear box . Its located at the top of where the drive shaft plug in. Anyway thanks for ur all help.

i know this is an old thread but may i know if the blacktop is using cable or sensors for the speedo? mine was working fine until it suddenly drop from 100km/h to 0km/h all of the sudden when my car is still moving. after awhile, the o/d off light starting blinking and from the gear changing, the o/d actually is off without touching the buttons.

you mean the gigi speedo? where is that gigi thing? so it go nothing to do with the cable or sensor if it have either one?

Mine also speedo not working,sam problem like ya'all,until now not yet fixed,no time..only 3 thing can be faulty,the sensor,the wires and the meter.But meter and wire very rare cases

since we are on the topic of speedometer, can anyone tell me if i can convert my 4agze speed sensor to cable, cause my meter uses cable.
