Spare keys

I did mine at the locksmith at Bangsar village [quite some time ago already]. A bit pricey [i think i paid RM50 for it - maybe due to location la, bangsar ma....]. The shop is located at the underground carpark of Bangsar Village 1. That was also the first time I saw green's car. Still not yet monster at that time......

rm50 is cheaper compared to the price i asked, rm130!!! perhaps due to the lexus emblem on the keyfob casing.. duh....

Final update from me:

Finally, today i managed to get the key duplicated for RM50
Got it done at place suggested by Greytezza at USJ Taipan,
a Locksmith beside "Happy Bean" cafe, opposite yong-tau-foo restaurant.
Greytezza, Thank You for the shop location info..

p/s: the duplicated key also came with Lexus emblem, but not those key-fob type.

oh..finally.

maybe i will just go there too to duplicate my key.
anyway, thanks wfhan for sharing.

you are welcome..

if u go there, remember to ask for the ones with lexus emblem, hanging among all
the other keys' templates on his wall and don't ask for those key-fob type as those
key-fob type are more than rm100.

Hello guys. If we install an after market alarm system, can we retain the use of the original toyota remote and integrate it with the new alarm system?

some good alarm is able to 'mate' with the original keyfob.. or rather they'll re-programme
your keyfob to match the freq of the alarm module..
but. my advice is to not disclose too much alarm/car security topic here,
may lurkers here, beware.
maybe u guys shud pm each other for details.
