Some light to the convoy "marshalls" stopping traffic issue

Just thought id post this up so that everyone is aware and hopefully spreads the word to the car clubs to obey the traffic laws the same way as everyone else. The linked article basically shows that they have absolutely NO RIGHT to direct/instruct/obstruct traffic for the sake of their convoy with or without a letter. No letters give them that right.

there is also a contact email address and hotline number in the article in case anyone comes across this situation to report.

Help spread the word. so that these menaces learn their place and stop being selfish and troubling other road users.

For once, there are strict laws that going against these so called "Marshalls".

Seen a lot with white glove on and amber light siren blocking off traffic and even asking everyone to give way.
At least now we can make a report on them on the spot.

Marshalls need to understand what their roles are. That is to assist their members in case of emergencies and direct them to the destination. Nothing more. If they understand that then convoys will be nothing more than a whole bunch of cars travelling on the roads hopefully on the slow lane with one marshall in front leading the bunch and one at the back picking up members that might have broken down for some reason or another.

It's those overzealous jackasses that spoil it for the rest of us.

just as the article says....exercise your rights. if they block yr way or react violently, capture their actions and submit to the authorities....and then post in facebook and mass media so the authorities will do their work.

use the power of the net to get things done the way u escalate to "that feller's boss" to get him/her to get the work done

I usually don't either but have you ever seen a motorbiker get violent? I see it all the time and they are unreasonable too. Worth the damage on your car?

I know this may sound harsh... but if the biker turns violent and I feel threatened....whats a few hundreds dollars to repair your car to a broken leg or hand or something worse than that?

I've seen bike convoy marshals bang on the roof of cars to get them to stop...n once saw a few marshals gang up on a car who didnt stop...they basically banged on the roof n cock stare the lady driver when she stopped. she looked like she was gonna piss in the car.

we need to catch these ppl with their pants down. video evidence + time/date/location then send to the authorities...then as backup...post up the video on youtube and send the link to MCA/PKR.
