Hallo Bro...

Need help on the small headlamp (lampu hujan, lampu senja, dawn lamp) i don't know what to call.
Straight to the point, the right lamp if you stand towards engine(passenger side) do NOT light up.
So, i go buy new bulb & install, still do not light up.
Then, I check using multimeter, voltage return 5V only, whereas the other side return 12V and lights normally.

Please advice me what parts to look at, or any bro who experienced this behaviour before are greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance.

btw: this is proton car with 4G93T engine.(nothing to do with engine i think :_: )

huh??... the small wedge bulb only produces 5w.... yes, it is running on 12v...
did u got the correct bulb??... 5W bulb... check the wiring as well...

ah..famous bro Sky,
yes, i check the bulb socket point really return 5V, the bulp is correct one because i compare with the other side bulb rating 12V xW (x-forget the wattage).
I also check the wiring but it end up in the junction cable(with many2 cable in the flexible pvc :) ). so i give up for now :)

Could it be the headlamp relay ke Bro Sky? i dunno where the exact relay is because the fuse box cover at engine bay written in Japanese.

anyway, thank you very much for your advice

cheers!

wedge bulb dont have relay.....onli HIbeam and Lowbeam got relay...........

maybe if ur wiring problem........try change the wires......

try 1 of the cable using multimeter/voltmeter, and the other probe connect to ground (-ve).
then test the other cable. if it does produce 12v, then might be -ve cable got problem (loose ground connection maybe).

+ve cable also can be check. but 1 of the probe connect to battery (+ve), and the other probe to lamp cable. light switch must be "on".

Gdday Bro,

Sory for late reply, i,m not online on weekend. now i know wedge bulb don,t have relay, Then must be my wiring that's giving problem.
Will try Bro Maxx advice to assure that.

Thank you very much for your advice and support, Bro

I will update if i find the problem

bye

gd evenin, all

Problem solved, thanks to all bro for your support and guidance.
The problem is neither wiring nor relay, it's misconnect the position light cable socket with the aircon fan sensor socket or what i dunno. because the socket only have 2 wire.
When i switch these 2 socket, the position light work properly and i start the engine, after a while, the aircon fan and radiator fan also working.
I dunno who is misconnecting this 2 socket either me or mech. i don't remember
so, i think it solves my problem.:X-:

Once again, thanks very much.
