I have sent my rear pair of GAB Super (8 level S/H adj) to Top Perfect for OH. Work done included:

1) Rebounce/bounce force test on machine (on S/H level 1,4 & 8 only) to check the strut status. Test speed is 0.1m/s, 0.2m/s till 0.6m/s.
2) Replace oil, oil seal, shaft, shaft bushing. All parts are from Jpn.
3) Rebounce/bounce force test again to final confirm the strut performance.

All at RM550 (RM275/pc) . Add RM20 for installation for 2.

It sounds pricy compare to other place but this is the only place (my understanding) that can show the performance of the strut with data and chart. I will post the on-the-road result after had it installed next week.

If you have any good/bad experience on OH your strut, please kindly share it here.

Seems very through. At RM550 a pair (assuming what u listed considered full overhaul) it is fairly cheap. Are AE101 oem about same price bracket? If it is then its money worth it. But taken into consideration you purchase price for the used GABs. If price difference more than 50% compared to a new unit then its expensive. But there are pros and cons.

Like last time sifoo acoustic ask for quote to rebuild the T50 RWD gearbox. It was quoted at RM14xx for everything, bearing, seals blah blah. And street price for used T50 nowdays are about RM500-900. It is only worth it if you don't intend to upgrade anymore and stick to current setup at least 3 years. That is if something unforseen happens!
