SEG 101 Air Cond problem HELP NEeded

I have a problem with My Toyota SEG 4afe standard.
the problem is with the aircond
Scenario :
~ When i switch on the air cond, it will cold for some times, and then suddenly there is only air blowing and its not cool anymore
~ I need to switch off the engine and then after few moments-> switch on the key-> after few seconds-> start engine and switch on the air cond-> then only it will cool again..... Then after some times, same thing happen again. I've to repeat the same thing again.

Last time i send to air cond shop, the guy change cooling coil and valve and do some other things and fill up gas, but the same thing happen again after 1 week, send again to the same shop, he top up gas again and after few days, same thing happen again and send to other shop, but that guy say, he cannot see any problem cause it was normal on that time.. I did explain on the scenario but he said, he also don't know cause on that time it was ok...


Can someone help me to explain, what is the problem with this?
Any recommended shop for Air cond in Klang valley that i can get help?
Please recommend the best if you know...

There is a shop in jalan pahang setapak next to a big bikes shop name Tropic cool - running by my fren's parent for 20 over years, lately ive also recommended a ZTH member to that place. their pricing in reasonable - most importantly i think they are really reliable, which provide warranties.

recommend that you go to Ming Wah at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, near the Honda Showroom. Used to send my old car there for Air cond / radiator issues. Just Google the name for directions.

Is it really compressor meh?
Because there is a foremen said its due to cooling coil, minyak lebih or one more issue i cant really confirm
But i told him the cooling coil changed already.

Anyway, i will check with the nearest recommended foremen first.
Any other opinion?

Im asking here because maybe there is any forumer come across the same issue, so that they can recommend a good solution..
Same thing happen last time when i've a problem with the starter,
ask and get a good recommendation from a forumer that come across the same issue.
If i cant ask here, what is the purpose of this forum?

You also said "IF NO WRONG".. Unless you said CONFIRM
I'm not saying its not correct... I just want to make sure.. That's all.
Because, foremen also said cooling coil and he is WRONG. because after change the cooling coil also the problem still there....
So, since you recommend a solution, i just double confirm with the feedback.
Its not i don't appreciate, i did inform that all the recommendation is appreciated.

Anyway, i will ask the foremen to check based on your recommendation first.

Simple. Let's do a test. Does your aircond feels cooler when the engine is revved or car is moving i/o being idle. If yes, then confirmed it's compressor. RM250 for halfcut unit. Been there, done that. Replaced mine 2 years ago still working like a champ now.

a small test on the compressor..if aircorn air not cold, check the compressor if running?..u mention that u need to turn it off and and wait for a while and turn it back, then only will cool back....most probably the compressor is overheat, compressor overheat will cut off the clutch spinning, that y it make your air corn not cold. open you hood, when the aircorn not cold, pour some water on the compressor...if there is water steam on the compressor, confirm compressor overheat...time to change the compressor...this happen to me last 2 month.

Same case for me too... it was like 4 months ago. compressor KO. My case have to wait around 5-10 mins for the compressor to work again. Switch off engine also useless. that thing is like turbo timer. LMAO!

i got mine recond (not halfcut condition) with everything in (oil, gas, workmanship) for around RM400 with 3 months warranty.

There are 2 pin from the ECU label "ACT" and "AC1" which controls your aircond's function.
If your ECU having problem, it will affect your aircond's function as well.
It happened to my customer whom i met on yesterday. After replace the ECU, his aircond resume back its function.
Unlike replacing other parts, open up the ECU for visual inspection won't cost you anything.
Perhaps you might want to give it a try first before you start changing this and that.

So Far, the problem disappear just like that.
I didn't do anything and didn't replace anything yet.
The air cond is back to normal
But i afraid it will come again when we really need it.
So, plan to send it for checking.
Maybe i should standby a compressor as been advice by most of the forumer.
Just in case.
