Some said Motec( costly) and some said Haltech is more than enuff. Which model if possible??

How to mods Scooby??is cams, turbine, etc etc

What are the pros and cons or STI year 1999 scooby? I heard my scooby frend said gearbox is not that reliable and the piston near to turbine is prone to overheat..Izit true??

Need information here..

Thanks in advance..

you can check out ecutek, the authorised dealer is in Sunway. Ecutek.com

very hard to find '99 Sti in malaysia, cos there are only a few. I would suggest you check out the international subaru forums for help..lots of info there

Sorry who you again?? you refering to a Sti hood scoop? if yes im still interested...just pm me the details thx

plenty plenty different wayz to chip stis

unichip is a good piggyback system that proven good for tuning stiz, tunez ur car individually.... sommore if u sell the car u can take out the unichip and keep or sell :P

ecutek aso very good, it retunes the factory ecu with a standard-ish map but ur car will kinda fine-tune itself....... but in the end if u selling ur car u can't sell the ecutek

motec is gooddddd but vely EXXXXXXXXX

autronic aso very very good but also EXXXXXXXXX

motec n autronic are complete ecu systems, replace the factory one completely
i tink some modelz are piggyback tho

but most important thing when chipping ur car is UR ECU IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE PERSON WHO TUNES IT

so if u knoe someone who is a gooooooooooooooooood tuner and he's familiar with a certain type, go for that type
no point get some super-keng ecu but nobody knows how to tune properly
can end up worse than normal if not tuned properly

For a 99 model go for either a Link or Autronic. It'll save you money and the Link/Autronic is good enough.

Motec M4...

Brand new + Installation + Tuning is usually >RM10k...

Expensive...

Hmm... Wonder if anyone is interested in getting one around RM6k?

:D

u cud try LINK... its a bit of a fuel guzzler, but if ure willing to pay for that, it has very good performance, better than motec...
