Satria neo

Haha... Definitely la.. But Remapping or Rechipping your ECU will have a downside according to some sources. I'm not sure whether thats true i jus heard and saw some ppl write up about it..

What downsides? I heard that once you reflash it you may have to get it redone from time to time.

Any words of wisdom anyone?

how u want to remap siemens ems700? it is close loop ecu. self-learning.
do u think it is possible?
even some piggyback cannot be paired with it.
only few like dastek unichip, haltech interceptor are ok.

I have to agree with mfa, tried recently to hook up to a greedy E-Manage, it was a trial and error exercise. I took us almost 2 hrs to get it to what we wanted. After a couople of days everything seemed out of tune.

We had to take the piggyback out and restore the settings. But i think there is someone out there that definitely knows how to bypass it propoerly. It would be awesome to gain the evtra 20 bhp.

Hey guys, Just wanted an opinion. Starting my first engine mods on my Neo(M-Line) 1.6 Auto Next month. My friends at ATS recommended me to install.

1)Pre-oiled K&N Drop in Air Filter
2)Install Extractor
3)Change exhuast system.

What you guys think?

at first i'm also thinking that closed loop ECU can't be fooled....

but after stumbled upon this site>> http://autospeed.com/cms/A_111536/article.html

seems like easy (*if u really know what u are doing) :adore:

Pomen, great info, thanks. Now to get hold of another piggyback ECU to try it again.

Good start Starkiller, thats what I started with.

frank....there's also another detailed article on that website about altering closed loop ecu signal....feel free to surf over there..i'm pretty sure u will find more interesting data to try and experiment with... :adore:

Thanks bro. Will i feel the difference?

Yeap. At the very least, HP gain from aftermarket header + air filter may come to +/- 9hp.
Torque wise, those mods are good for around +/- 10nm torque.

I myself am running on those mods, but on a manual non-CPS neo instead.

Pomen;
Nice info on the closed loop.
If we have the know how and the tools, we can actually fool the EMS700 to correspond to any piggyback. So far as I know, only few (as mentioned by mfa) piggybacks can be paried to the EMS 700.

hey

i have ask many mechanic about piggyback emanage blue nor ultimate cant be fitted on neo?

pls en light me about it thanks

wanna install piggybag ;p

Overboost, read here:

Hope this answer your question regarding E-manage.
If you are going for piggyback, the better option would be Dastek Unichip / Haltech Interceptor.

reflash oem ecu should be possible, given if u can onlock the oem ecu and tune its parameters... but if to use piggyback to remap a self-learning ecu, it is not possible....

Tried reflashing, it again falls back to the origina settings after a week or so, you wont notice it immedietly though, it kinda creeps up slowly. Day by day as u drive it it seems its losing the original reflash condition.

VDREAD has the better option with Unichip or Haltech which is a costly investment. I am still looking for less exspensive alternatives.
