How can you tell it was building of the road for the drag race track? It could be a temporary road for a housing project construction site.hehe

There's this guy I know who claims that the STC's president is his brother, surname is "Goh"..formerly attached to the police department and got the gaming licenses after resigning from the police department. Hails from Melaka.

Rumour says the boss of STC is the developer for the dragstrip so I asked "Goh" about it and he's not aware of it and even elaborated that his brother is not a car enthusiast.

Perhaps the road in question is the route to the new horse stables?

BUt the drag road is under construction la.. the road built near the horse track..
I even know how much the total budget of the drag road lagi ..hehe..and the map too..:D

Sorry i don have map..only the Stc got..maybe i will go there take..but not now..im currently in Kota Kinabalu..next month i go back there then take la..
But i can ask my parents take coz she work there.. but i need time la

If you know so well about the project, at least you should also know the time by which they target to complete the project and hold a race event. So what is their target?

Not like Tawau drag race..they jus race who ever's car is powerful, thats all..

The budget is damn expensive la..but i don dare to tell to u guys otherwise they blame me.. Is under 1000k la..u guess your self..n above 500k(rm)

If Yap has a plan to design and build the drag strip, does he also have a schedule WHEN he will complete it? And does he also have a schedule WHEN to hold an event? I think these are the most relevant and interesting questions at the top of our head at this moment. If Yap said he has, put down the dates and let all of us know about them. After that, these publicly known dates will serve as targets for him and his company's management to try to achieve. He can even post an advertisement board outside Sandakan Turf Club and make known to the public that the Drag Strip is under construction like those bill boards put up by the developers on a lot of construction sites which also show the time to complete their projects.

Not that we are not interested in how Yap plays with the classifications, they are not our priority interest at the moment. I am sure he can change classifications later hundred times throughout his business life if he likes in order to boost his profit for his business. He may even put up a monthly betting game for the fastest cars on his strip and any gambler could just bet on it like they do on the horses.

But i wanna know is there any west malaysian ppl r going to sdk for the race..hehe. too far rite..
we hope there will be a lot of competitor n great 1.
i know he told me the construction will complete end of December 05 lo..
coz he is not sure when the event start.
Wa..we cant see the construction n event when u pass the road..the place is inside which mean u hv to go inside to the place then u baru can see the construction.hehe
SDK hv a lot of trees n tall grass..n mountain..cant see, except u walk. the grandstand oledi block the view .. if difficult to explain.. if u go there u will know it :) :)

I may possibly fly down to Sandakan sometime next week if im not sent to Kuching for work. I guess I'll go there myself. Who knows its just another horse track expansion..

U guys cant see..but u try see properly at the end of the road..they r diggin up there.. maybe hv to renovate something.. yeah..still no tar yet coz have to do proper construction..in SDK is often rain oo so they cant do too much work.. wet lagi..huh
U try open the third (pic018.jpg)- u can see the mud diggin out until like mountain.there is the tractor located
I dont have digital camera ba, so i cant take tht nice for u! sorry

i think the drag will take 3 months gua.. bcoz almost everyday rain in sdk..huh.. make the construction delayed.

He is Honorary Secretary of Sandakan Turf Club and his dad is Chairman.I have the impression from the forum that what he does is taken for granted.Please remember that all this is done in his own private capacity(meaning he does not need to please anyone other than himself) and most prolly he doesnt even have a completion dateline.
