RM 40k. What car?

Ingolstadt,
Seems all the car u posted are continentals....
There's stilll lots of japanese made around.....
kekekekeke

Just let it be.....
No need to start war here....

Japanese pricing too strong ler in M'sia; hence around 70k, if you want a good driver's car, most are 10 years and above, and it has to be a very passionate car enthusiast freak to be able to commit to these oriental beasts. Ok, here's a short list as well,

RX-7
300 ZX Fairlady
Supra (cannot get 3.0 TT right? would only fetch the 2.0 Single turbo unit one i guess)
Evo 4 ?
Not much actually, can't even fetch a 1995 Skyline GTR R33
And if it were about good, stylish highway cruisers, there AREN'T any in this range. not to say this fella is asking for one that's priced at RM40k.

Hence, Toyota Sera. Or a BMW E30 if you're hard core enough. :)

just go to car auction to get a reasonable good car with a good price.

yeah true....
RM40k monster car only comes in the shape of continental...
Japanese make is really pricey....look at EGs and EKs; the price doesn't seem to drop much over these years.....

Pros is that the re-sell value is high..

*sigh*
always pros and cons...
give and take...

get a luxury sedan n pimp up . example: accord, camry, ciferio or perdana

Not only Jap makes are pricey here, there less specced as well, its as if the local importer 'purposely' leave them out, take Vios for example, face lift version in Taiwan gains a sunroof and automatic retractable side mirrors. Malaysian Vios? a stupid arm rest and a new bumper. . . . . ok that plastic drawer underneath the seats..... wat else? not even a lift up compartment for the leaving out of a passenger air bag. sigh~~

40k cash?

1. I'll get myself the R32 GTR, it'd cost more, settle for the d/p, and loan for the remaining balance.
2. Ship in S13 or U13 ATTESA

Well, that's MY choice IF the poster intend that the person has RM40k in cash.

Or 40k budget for "loanable" car?
1. Any 2nd hand Japanese - Corolla SEG, VR4, Sentra, Civic.plus tonnes of others
2. Cash buy of Alfa 146, Audi A4, Volvo 850 T5 plus some extras for mild mod.
3. High dp and Low Loan for Merc W202 or Beemer E36

Again, if it's me/.

well you do trade off alot of things for speed. and reason why i suddenly think of a bike is because of my situation.

The university i'm studying in, take down the car park area to build 2 new building (campus expansion). The new carpark suppose to be a 8 level shoping mall type car park, but it is not finished yet. So now imagine about 200 cars used to park in the car park is now parking everywhere around the campus beside the main road and the nearby forest (by taking a small rough road). So if i got a bike i can park inside the campus' bike parking area, well, not much people use it and there's still space.

Dude, re-read it again,

I was contemplating seriously on a 300ZX fairlady 1997 RM57k before i gotten my A4 turbo ...... it sounded so much like a dream but after figuring on the other costs and the road tax.... i gave up the idea.... ha~~
