A Waja with a 1.6L mitsubishi lump would be decent. Newer than a Wira/Satria, proven engine and transmission, cheap to maintain and it scored 3 Star NCAP way back when.

Anything with a turbo will be expensive to maintain. If you are prepared to "patah kaki" and pay $$$. Go ahead.

i was in your situation few months ago, i wanted to buy second car and my choice is either perdana or cefiro a32, in the end i choose cefiro a32 2.5 because cefiro spec is higher than perdana and most of my friend including my mechanics said its more durable than perdana, even Nissan still using the VQ engine for the newest cefiro/teana, so far maintenance is okay for 2.5 V6 engine,smooth ride and good power, i think maintenance shouldn't be expensive if you know a reliable and honest workshop / mechanic.
btw if you decided to go for the cefiro, take the 2.5 engine as it will give enough power and road tax wont be as expensive as the 3.0

Yes I've heard about wira 1.8 too but diesel. Stronger chasis and better handling. How much it cost now a days? My budget is not over 15k

I really liked the Perdana and I was looking at the 05 onwards ones, usually not more than 30k. Will the Perdana evo3 be easier and cheaper to maintain, plus having better FC? I really have no idea.

I looked at the Cefiros as well but I prefer manuals and so far only 1 has been on Mudah and that also is almost 30k.

Aluya, how is the 1.8 wira different from 1.5 and 1.6 wiras?

My family has a Waja at home with 4G18 and it's a good car, only thing it is auto and the engine is somewhat loud...

I bought my wira for 14.5k inclusive of tukar nama n everything...

Wira 1.8 got sohc and dohc..both petrol. Diesel is 2.0.

U can google for that wira..search "c99le" or "wira karamjit"...

My mother used to have wira 1.5...Feels a lot different compare to the 1.8...

Why don't u try to ride satria 1.3 or 1.5 and then u try satria gti...share with us what is the different :)
