Hey ppl , my cars antenna recently had a problem . You can hear the the motor sound but the antenna would not go down when i turn off the ignition . So i went to a shop asking them , and the quoted me RM250 for a new 1 with installation with the reason for the current 1 suffering from a faulty motor ...

So the question i would like to ask
1) is the price reasonable ? ( claimed to be a quality one , made in China .. forgotten to ask for the brand name .. damn )

2) Are there any other brands or recommendations ?and any rspectable ICE shop to get it done cuz im noobish in this things .

thanks in advance .

Seems like your car's antenna is on behind. Anyway if the motor can spoilt on your old one, the new also will do after some time, the best is get a normal manual one or like Waja type, not bad the look.

Thanks for the opinion . Yes my car's antenna is at the back . I would like to know where can i have 1 of those you have mentioned installed and the price of it .

Now only your motor spoilt right? So if it cannot come up, then try to use a way to make it up and no need to let it to go down anyway. Disconnect the motor power. Did you try to look for the motor spare parts? Sometime you can get it on half cut shop.. If can try to use back the old one as sometimes new one cannot perform like ythe old one.

now the antenna is up ??
if its up juz follow like kyheng said disconnect the motor power supply ...
or if u don mind disconnect the motor power supply and make it down and then get an internal antenna stick on the inside of the front windscreen behind the rear mirror ...
