so now wat do u guys think is the better buy...
..a newer normal 1.8 wira or the older LE?

other than the newer one running on Siemens and the lack of those goodies (momo,recaro..) is there anything bad about em..? the chasis?

Not to say bad but chassis stiffness of the LE is Diff then the Normal Wira.. Its Double spot weld (or double stitch they cal it) as per the R3.. Thats why lots of guys outthere hunting high and low for it.. Put in GSR.. :D

Actually what I heard was that the chassis is the same as the other wira except for its upgraded suspensions and brakes. Beside the momo and recaro stuffs everything else is the same.
Its not doubled spot welded as what was stated by tajulsans. If it was then I wouldn't have to spent money to get it doubled spotwelded.
As far as the engine, its was reliable and good to use as an everyday car. Mine didn't give any tappets sounds.
Now my LE run on a VR4 engine full time 4wd.

Nice to have but recomended to keep it standard.

Calvin,
It depends on which angle you look at it. From my angle I would say that it is legal because I had made sure that it was done correctly. On the JPJ's angle of view its still remains illegal. Actually I was planning to rally that car this year but came short of fundings and its not easy being a privateer.
