the r&d costs needed to make something that can match a carrera gt would probably cripple proton. there would be no money left to fund mainstream models like the waja, perdana, etc.
even if the idea took off, who's gonna buy something like a proton carrera gt? even honda, with all its engineering credentials, had a tough time selling the nsx in european markets (i think they sold about 20 of them in 2003).

ahhaa not ask proton to create something similar to Carrera GT, we must learn how to improve PROTON ! you guys are really dangerous to malaysia ! ... why ? read the sentence below

i think we can do R&D better than anyone in proton, we juz buy aftermarket parts, put in proton + body kits ... i think we can do much better than any products release by proton ... except GTi

i will compile them into a web site ... i am asking my fren to draw a chasis frame using CAT .... 2 door coupe, 4 seats, inspire by the peugout RC ... of coz ... it will cost less ... anything will do ... contribute some ideas ... something u wan in the car (must be affordable + creatable) ... like my idea is something from GP2 ... temp overtaking accelarator, by designing the car engine in front, the rear will hav a two extra small 100cc/50cc equavilent electric motor build in ... normally will act like hybrid vehicle (save petrol) ... or when u wan to overtake ... it can increase 20hp by draining the reserve battery ... reserve battery can be charge by energy waste on brakes + heat ...

ya, u r right about ur comment, but we must do something, chasis of waja and perdana is bought from copy or scrap project from another company (mits) ... lets start something NEW...

dream first .... 400 yrs ago ... ppl will think having a plane flying is stupid, nothing so heavy can fly ... when something can fly ... the say it will cost too much to build ... when commercial airline is available .. they shut the mouth ....
