i have these problem quite a long time already. When i insert in the cd's the sound came out sometimes not.. Like the sound is putus-putus.. I asked the electrical shop . They said that i have to change the head inside the cd player. It will cost me 200-300. Is it resonable? It will take 2 weeks to replace it . Im using panasonic. Any other solution?

THis is usually a head/lens issue.. you will need to change it or recalibrate it.

2-300 is abt the normal charge and make sure they give you warranty or send it back to Panasonic to do it.

How old is your player? Could it be a manufacturing defect if u just bought it? If used quite some time already, have u used any CD lens cleaner to clean the laser lens? Dirty laser lens can affect the reading of the CD. Also, wat kind of CDs u play? If just say MP3, the you have to check whether the MP3 is Variable Bit Rate (VBR) kind whereby ur player does not recognise the format. If just a normal CD player, use an original CD to test. If original CD still the same, and after clean the lens also still like that, then better send in to Panasonic service centre for repairs...

I have tried to clean up using cd lens cleaner a few time but the result is still the same. I already using it for a 3 years. Mine just can played using normal cd and vcd's, no mp3's. So anyone know where's the Panasonic service center? I've stay at subang.

check out http://www.panasonic.com.my/CS/CS_CCC.htm Call the number there to ask on service centres.

Using CD Cleaners are not really not that effective. Has ur warranty expired? If so, maybe if u dare, u can try this too. Open up ur CD player and use a cotton bud dipped in alcohol and gently wipe the lens of the unit. But u have to be careful in opening it up. Never use force...
