Yup big intercooler may add lag, the methanol injection kit and/or intercooler water spray should be more suitable.

Car engine's stock mapping can't take advantage, most definitely needs a retune to fully utilize anyway hence it is not justifiable

Need $$$ to re-tune and need $$$ to fuel Ron100 so might as well keep to Ron 97.....lol:biggrin:

Tried Ron 100, not much different from Ron 97.
So back to Ron 97.

And Ron 97 has not much diff with Ron 95. Back to 95?

I always pump for my gf car. She couldn't tell if its 95 or 97. But she could tell when it isn't caltex or bhp for Ron 97.

I usually give her 97 and once it was shell bec Bandar Sri damansara don't have bhp and have to drive out to ldp for caltex so shell sucks she say

Considering it’s a blind test, since she doesn’t know, that’s pretty good indicator that which fuels are crap.

stock normal car usually tuned for ron97 at max... and able to run ron95...

but if japan performance car or italian supercar or german sport car... sure will get benefits from ron100 (especially japan performance car) coz according to myth, they were tuned for ron100 back in japan factory...

If the car is assemble at country of origin yes.
But even mazda skyactiv here also retuned to drink Ron 95...

Direct injection engine can use lower ron.....

True, BMW B48N20 can use absolute minimum RON 91 (below that you grenade your engine), and usually specifies RON 95 as the normal petrol grade.

But it also says for optimal fuel consumption, the petrol should be sulphur-free or low in sulphur content.
