im thinking bout modifying an ol skool nissan bluebird 910 sss... thinking bout plonking either rb20 or sr20 engine in it. what do u guys think?? any opinion? any tips to make this project happens??? is it difficult to fit in the rear axle?? rily needs some help here...

should be able to fit either engines in.. i'm using RB20 in my 910.. the rear can mod to fit S13 subframe.. but i'm using standard, only changed the diff to fit LSD from R31.. any enquiries can PM me..

is it enuf to use rb20 engine and is it difficult to control?? coz im a newbie and gonna learn to drift properly, dunno whether the bluebird is a good car to drift or not. which one is preferable, fit the s13 subframe or just change the diff??

hmm...another one. what suspension from what cars can i use in the bluebird since it is an ol car..an ol cars usually have probs with suspension option.. can u give me an example here..thanx a lot

Hi Nottyeddy,

I'm interested to know more about your 910. Is the rear axle a live axle(solid axle) or IRS. I haven't come across any 910's lately to inpect it. Is the R31 diff can be replaced 1-1 with the original one.

I read about mounting the S13 subframe to the 910 in one of the Auzzie 910 forums, but not sure whether it can be used in my Laurel too. Looks kinda complicated I would say.

I think there are 910 with axles but mostly are IRS.. can be mod to use S13 subframe.. Ur Laurel can try n measure 1st before putting it in.. R31 diff can be used with minor mods to fit the top mounting..

Hi Nottyeddy,

The front is not a problem. I already replaced the stock setup with A31 knuckles. Fits like a charm.

Only the rear is the problem. I'm dying to get an LSD in, but just don't know how. My Laurel's rear is using live axles. I heard of fixing a Hilux diff in the rear, but I don't know who has actually done it.

i am thinking...how much does a bluebird with SR20DET cost???i am interested in getting one...

Doink,
You should probably get one unconverted. And do it yourself.
It is painful and costy, but you would enjoy the process.

most likely gonna fetch 10K or more.. i'd also suggest building ur own.. if using RB20 can be cheaper.. maybe 6-7K.. if SR20 maybe around 9-10K..
