Hey Guys, Thanks for the reply.
I do agree on a couple of points made.
OBD is strictly American Legislature hence if the car is destined for the US market then it must be OBD II complaint.
It does not really allow mods, its more of a diagnostic tool and info.
Although there is the US OMB II std, there are also other standards, SAE, and one more european one.
Anyway the local K3VE (DVVT/Azanza) engine is SAE compliant.
Hence I would like to know is anyone using these packaged software tools to run on their PDAs lap tops to display the engine sensors?
It would be pretty interesting to see how the sensor are feeding back info to the ECU. Also imagne you get into your car at night, mount your PDA on your dash board and you can see a million and one displays of graphs. Very cool la....
But thats besides the point. its a good tool to see how your mods are affecting the car.
Things like this
www.autotap.com
www.obdmeter.com
http://obddiagnostics.com
www.pocketlogger.com
www.starrperformance.com.au
Rather interesting area. Especially if your already into mods, then you can actually see the impact your car is making with mods you have done.
Radiator Fan efficiency, boost rate etc etc etc
