Monster Mivec!!

I am also going to put in a 4G92 DOHC soon. But mine is terbalik one. Good to hear some feedback from friends here. However, I will disagree with Powerzone recommendation due to their case who spoil my O2 sensor and not willing to pay for damages. For your info, the consumer tribunal awarded the case to me and they paid finally.

And as for the recommended shop who claims to do a moster MIVEC with just some setting of AFC... I think definitely need some real mods. You cannot expect magic just tuning AF. How about Ignition and increasing CC ? Those are more important and will increase horses. No offense. Just think you will need more than AF to do magic number of HP.

While waiting for the perfect halfcut, I have done lots of research with some feedbacks from friends here. I think I will:

a) Use larger throttle body (don't know which model)
b) Tomei Oversized forged piston
c) Port Polish from MatSpeed
d) JUN cams and Valve springs set
e) 1.8 block definitely and rebore to 1.9 or 2.0
f) Maintain my e-manage but add relay to control MIVEC
g) Fuel pressure regulator
h) Adjustable cam pulley
g) Supercharge cannot fit my car, most likely turbo it at the end of the day...

I don't think putting in a racing cam will affect MIVEC idling. The real beauty of MIVEC is because we can have a real racing cam profile when we slam the accelerator pedal. And when we are normal driving and before MIVEC kicks in, we can use a lower profile.

Just my 2 cents.

Wajafly,,insted of guessing what parts you want to use,,,why dont you seek advise from the experts. From your wish list,,,it shows that you have no clues what you are doing,,,happy modding:shades_smile:
 
last time i upgrade my mivec
with the same mod
only i used microtech
n jun cam
n standart injector
stroker kit standart 1.8 only i balance
the dyno shows around 179 on wheel
 
for mivec 1.8 with 3xx degree cams,what piping size is the best??2.2 or 2.5 inch??
 
Hi, just new here but old outside....
I think for mivec 1.8 with #xx degree cams better go for 2.5 to 3.0 inch exhaust piping.....
but the best before that is to chage the header (extractor as well) ...i've find out the Japan extractor for Big-on custom one is quit big, good for exhaust upgrade....
 
wtf... 25k??? 50k....??? like that better get a skyline R33 woooo.....

your Motec can easily take up half of the 25k already lar...

2000cc NA want to side by side with a 2000cc turbo...seems a bit far fetch wor... how much you willing to spend to archieve this ??? mind i ask???
 
i'm using 4-1 hotbits long primary extractor.is this extractor 2'???
so the piping should go for straight+1 bullet or like original??
 
1.8 Mivec + 3xx hicam use 2.5" piping is enough already..... too big size will coz no power at low rpm.....if for daily or city drive .......

the best i think is 2.2 inch
coz 2.5 is to big
the extractor i use is 4-1 custom
with long neck....
u try ler coz i was told this extractor for better end
