JOHOR BARU: A man armed with a gun was injured in a botched robbery at a coffee shop in Taman Johor Jaya yesterday. The man, in his 20s, had walked into the shop at 5.30pm, whipped out a pistol and demanded the day's takings from the owner. The quick-thinking owner was not about to give up his hard-earned money, however, and grabbed the man's arm while shouting for help. His assistant then took a wooden stool and hit the man several times on the head, knocking him out. The owner then alerted police who took the man to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital.
