Just Wan 2 Ask Ur Opinion, Is It Suitable To Use Fully Synthetic Oil For My Engine Which Is Already 130,000km Or Just Change To Semi Only. I'm Using Sv4 Wit H22a. My Mech. Said Dat It's Better To Use Semi Cos De Eng. Is Quite Old. I'm Using Fully Syn. Now. Cheers!

The best you can get for your engine is a fully syn product as because it give better protection, lifespan and more better properties for your engine too

The only reason why some older car isn't good enough to use the fully syn engine oil is because that older engine might have some horrible wears and the lower viscosity fully syn engine oil will give some slight problem to them . for eg. the oil losses problem.

If you are using fully syn product such as from Mobil , Shell , Petronas or Cepsa. It is ok and perfectly fine to contine using it ... no worries at all and its a better choice too...

Cheers!

Thankx Bro. Yes, I Also Read Dat If U Are Using Fully Synt. Oil, It's Ok To Keep Continue Usi It Although Ur Engine Is Quite Old. It Also Gives More Power N Smoothness Which R Really Needed. Cheers!

the engine condition not count by year or mileage,if u maintance ur engine very well n till now dont have engine oil comsuption then keep using back fully sync

some old engine not well maintain
or some engine like 4G9x DOHC
will have loud tapper sound when u used fully syn
so i stick to semi syn

ya lo. i think i better stick to fully synt. oil. 10,000km than only change, how about dat or do i need to change every 5,000km? cheers! :tee:

The loud tapper sound create by most mits engine is because of the viscosities selection not because of the its mineral semi or fully.

However in the market most fully are grade with 5W 30/40/50. Those mits engine , if you use this viscosities, the tapper sound will be quite loud

However, if you use semi which is usually 10W xx / 15W xx. the tapper sound will be lesser then if you use the 20Wxx which in the market only introduce mineral. the tappered sound will be very minimal.

This happen ecause due the mits engine design, nothing is wrong with the engine oil or your engine it just the vis not being design to suit the 5Wxx .

But if you can get fully syn products but with the viscosity of 20Wxx or 15Wxx the tapper sound will be at minimal and you can enjoy the fully syn benefit too ...
