hi all teg broz..jz wanna ask about my car's problem. My fren has told me that if my car using EK4 complete halfcut (OBD II wiring including ECU) but meter use 96' TYPE R meter(OBD I), it might causes problem to the meter like my case(RPM turn to 0 while VTEC engage). He ask me to try with 98' spec TYPE R meter, coz 98' spec also with OBD II right ? anyone use 98' spec TYPE R meter here ? those with abs light 1.

Am using 98 Spec gauge cluster....has ABS light....what do you need to know?

kent, i think '96 spec also using OBD 2 wiring. i think matt is using 96 spec meter with ABS.

and one thing, if my knock sensor got problem, is there a possibility for my RPM not functioning normal ? coz my knock sensor has broken since i got my car, and my mechanic say will ganti another one for me. This saturday i will change it, if knock sensor is the cause for that RPM problem, then good lo ^^" .. but if not, haih...dunno wat to do ler...

Basically knock sensor just retards the timing whenever it detects engine knock....so knock sensor should have nothing to do with RPM. I'm thinking it's a wiring problem cause once your VTEC solenoid activates, the RPM signal mati....
