Guys,

need your help, tips and advise in identifying this "kereta sambung" when purchasing a car, to be exact a 2 door civic ek. appreciate all your views and comments

the main question .. from where yu wanna buy the car ..??
is it from direct owner or car dealer ..

if from direct owner, yu can take the car for inspection at puspakom with the owner's will laa .. if the car is really genuine not potong wan, sure he will not hesiatte to do it .. if he somehow hesitate, must be something wrong .. coz, if sure kereta sambung, sure kene sita punya ..

if fron car dealer . yu have to be very carefull laa .. they always said already being checked with puspakom "surat ada maa" and all that .. so, if yu really interested in the car, yu can ask them to send for the second time with yu come along laa .. itu pun kalu the car dealer is really genuine laa ..

let say after the puspakom inspection, unfortunately along the road some mechanic notice it is kereta sambung, is there any way i can claim or rectify this matter?

if yu send the car ti puspakom, they will know on the spot whether the car sambung or not .. by that time, to late already laa ..

but to be sure .. before yu decide to take the car to puspakom, take yur mechanic along when yu wanna view the car .. he shud know which part is normally ppl will potong and sambung ..

normally at the firewall, front part, or at the center, or even at the trunk .. just take out (selak) the carpet and the welding mark shud be obvius ..

this kind of welding mark, how do we know it is the result from kereta sambung? is the welding from one end to the other end?

bro

if u buy cash from dealer/owner, no need to go puspakom.not compulsary.but u can always ask the owner to send the car to puspakom for rm40.best still if u can go with the owner

if make loan from bank, it is compulsary to send Puspakom and get the clearance letter from puspakom.

based on my experience.

another way is bukak the pintu, remove the linings that are in black, if u notice any bumps that are not smooth, that means potong and sambung liow...

thanks guys for the tips!

by the way, for the pillar, is it possible to see under the paint? or shall i see it underneath the the car at the pillar position?

when you test drive the car, is there any difference from a normal car? any abnormal behaviour?

most probably yur will go like "ketam berjalan" loorr .. senget .. and if yu do alingment, it will not align properly
