See 99.9% of people are not like you and me, they think tire is just all the same black rubber donut to roll on dirt and shit on the road, so why spent much money on them? Since have to pay some money, then become very cheapskate and want to get the longest usage out of them to avoid paying again. People rather spend on bling2 stupid rims but settle for shitty tires coz they look cool! :stupid:

hahaha...yah! saw many at tyre shop, nice rims but cheapest tyres possible.....

Is time for someone to break the trend by buying steelie rims but using extreme or semi slick tyres. What I have seen lately would be stock Persona rims with RE003 in my university. Student's car. Looks stock, not modded but condition seems good.

How about rpo1 (cap non japan) + ps3 ? :hmmmm: i using right now.
i not too keen about rims. Because tyre touch the road surface first. :burnout:

The thing is steel rims not wide enough. Most upgrade to wider lower profile tyres will need wider rims too.....:driver:

Persona steel rims. 195/60/15 standard size? Can at least put 195/55/15 performance tyres.

More like downgrade.....lol
195/60R15 recommended rim width from 4.5 to 7.5, however 195/55R15 is 5.5 to 7. This is due to the flexibility of the sidewall. 60 higher.....:driver:

Steel rims also much heavier! A big no no for performance people.

You mean fake RPO1? Hmm hopefully it holds well and not break/crack in those tiny spokes. If original then still fine. Weight also relatively middle weight, not too heavy but not so light also. Yes tires a lot more important. My tires cost me about the same or more than my used rims (but I use ori Japan forged rims).

Oh, I din't know the width of the wheels still differs despite the tyre width is same but different sidewall profile... Then maybe I shouldn't have suggested my mother to use 195/55/15 on her Avanza that comes with stock 185/65/15 tyres...

I actually thought these spare tyre style rims are not that heavy...

185/65R15 or 185/60R15? If 65, then 195/55R15 is way too small, almost 4.2% smaller. If you have 5.5J rims then they are still ok for the width. By right should be using 195/60R15.....lol

If space saver rims then is light, if normal size tyre rim than the steel rims are heavy

Because back then at the shop, they don't have Hankook Ventus V2 Concept at 195/60/15. They only have Kinergy EX for that size. So, I told my mother just get the V2 Concept and if I am not mistaken, it is priced lower than Kinergy EX. The V2 Concept is at RM170 a piece. Changed all four including alignment without extra charges.

If the wheel diameter is now overall smaller, means the speedometer speed rating is also inaccurate?

Even space safer still heavy. My 17x8.5jj rim is still lighter than my skinny 16' space safer spare rim.

Space safer rim are those very narrow spare tyres?

Now will show faster speed but 4%, means travel at 104kph is actually 100kph....lol

Space Saver are those like bike tyres.....hhahhahahha:biggrin:

Time to tell my mother not to worry about speedtrap even when driving at 110km/h at highway. But I actually told her something like this before when she is worried about her speed reading is not accurate. She thought she is travelling faster than what the metre says but I say I think not because overall her wheel diameter is smaller now. Looks like I was right.

Oh, space saver are those spare tyres found in newer cars.

110kph no worries mah! If fact, heard from some source you can go until 120kph, 10kph allowance, but for your mom got another 4kph extra.....hhahahhahhaha:driver:

I heard about that too. I think the 120kph is there to allow overtaking or something.

Actually I quite believe because last time I got this saman for doing 121 kph......:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
True story, not made up one.....

No exceptions even for an excess of 1kph... They should just round it up by 5kph or something. How much did you pay for that?

They allow 10 kph tolerance above the speed limit before they will summon you.

Looks like I live in Malaysia but don't know the rules very clearly. :banghead:
