I have a serious problem here. First i drive AT 20V and i just found that when i pull to "2" from "D", the gearbox has no response at all! But, when i press the fuel pedal,it back to normal BUT it has a weird noise when changing the gear, the sound is like Kraaak..This problem is also existing when i enable the overdrive botton and also same to "L"..When i release the fuel pedal, it become like no gear. This is vry dangerous when i need to use "2" to brek my car. When i rev to 8K, has a weird sound also but hard 2 describe here but the thing is the gear didn't jam. Anyone faced this kinda problem b4? Btw, I seldom rev my car and i will change the ATF frequently. I suspect :

1) Gearbox kong (BUT BETTER DON'T :adore:)
2) Gearbox mounting
3) Driveshaft?
4) Any electronic sensor related to gearbox

Tmr and Monday is public holiday sigh so no hope at all to check at any reliable workshop. :banghead:

Check the torque converter , a part of the auto gear box, it seem no so called " preassure " to change the gear when you not stepping on the gas. Another part is the solenoid get it check 1st. Another part is the gear change linkage to the auto gear,
Before doing anything...suspect only....:confused::driver:

may i know something... is it when u engage either L and 2 gear the indicator inside meter lighting? if it not lighting it must be gear sychronize with shifter not on the timing. u have to check front linkage and shifter bushing. sometime this bushing can make gear cannot engage properly. actually hard to find toyota corolla auto gearbox kong. based on what my seniors mechanic said la.

the indicator light is alright. The problem oni exist when i want to pull to "2" from "D", it has no response at all, not changing gear at all. I must press the throttle only the gear will change. Once i release the fuel pedal, rpm drop back to 1k, meaning no gear at all.

ya, i also wondering how come beacause toyota gbox vry reliable. Any recommended foreman or wrkshop?

that one i am not so sure. but looks like internal sychronize problem. foreman???/ no fon no la.

Thanks, bro EDRA. So if it is really the sychronize problem, what should i buy or what should I do? Because normally foreman wil just ask you to but the whole set of gbox cuz senang cerita.

"no fon no no la"???? means???

Powerspeed I noe but it is dreadfully far it is at Kajang:banghead:

bro u go to kegani autotech at taman kinrara puchong see kenny lee. he knows everything. his phone no 012-6646177 or find this address a-g-04, 05, block a, jln ppk 1, tmn kinrara seksyen 3, puchong. u ask him first what problem then he will show u what to do.

Kegani is quite expensive. Alternatively you can go to Trial at sungai besi.

bit expensive but his service good. his expert on toyota car exspecially 20valve engine. u can ask first what the really problem with ur gear box then he will suggest u what to do. u also can try at sg. besi like what linkeong said. it is up to you. but i suggest u not to go to others workshop which is know nothing about toyota car. it can be worst.
linkeong give him phone no la. easy for him to contact.

bro i would suggest you to go to any auto gb specialist or toyota specialist, coz i dont think kegani has the expertise for automatic gb, they might be specialise in tuning and racing, but not in trouble shooting. if you really looking for toyota expert, i know that there are 2 in klang valley, ah ngah in kajang, and another one in kepong, those are very experienced in toyota maintainance and trouble shooting...

hope it helps
