Honda S2000 make 250HP on a 2litres motor so does NSX 3.2litres motor need to makes 400HP if goes according to the ratio. There goes the same does 350Z 3.5litres makes 280HP and Falcons XR6 makes 240HP from 4litres motors if i am not mistaken, doesn't makes a different. This is because "white ppl" do not always push their mechanical near limits which Japanese push it slightly higher. Probably you can checkout what components material and components specification then you'll know where is the difference come from.
If talk about "history" yeah holden and ford do lose a big time due to their technology differences. Its just like why ppl didn't talk about the first manufacturer who put in a quattro into rally and wins it. Do many ppl still say quattro from Audi again and again ? Not really coz its "history". Time goes and technology Improve and human learns.
Anyway I am still a JDM freak but I do like HSV GTS-R Monaros which is limited.

Do more reseach and you can make a any GTR into FR or back AWD with just a second. Check HKS ETC or torque split controller
These controllers allow you to choose from 10 settings from 100% rear drive to max available front torque.

wllim5 said:Alright S2000 sort of have better fuel consumption which is around 10.1litres/100km on a 2 litres motor and falcon consumption is around 11.5litres/100km. But don't forget to take into consideration of the weight of the car.
S2000 is a lightweight coupe and falcon is a heavyweight sedan. This made it save a bit on the fuel consumptions of the lightweight chassis and not because of it tecnology.
The things in S2000 is an art of design in short good design but not technology. The components used in Barra 182 which is current Falcon 6 cylinders is fairly more advanced than S2000.
(get a HSV mate wif super charge) hehe i just love those HSV wif 18inch wheel standed.
