I suspect this isn't so much a problem in standard Evos. The problem with the FQ-400 is that to extract 400bhp from the 2.0 litre engine, the engineers needed to fit a big ass turbo. And big ass turbos have big ass turbo lag. Small turbos, not much of a problem.
It just goes to show that HP figures arent everything. I always value torque, response and tractability over headlining HP figures.
