I have this beast, which im re-building, it has been lowered already and has a sr20 engine !!!
the one problem is that is has leaf springs in the rear, and ive been told that its not good for a drift car to haveleaf springs.

i want to set it up as an ameture drift car. what steps do you think you would do in this situation?
with the whole leaf springdeal.

and do you think this car is capable?

thanx in advance.

Hi, as I mentioned somewhere in this forum, the two essential things you need to be able to drift a car is 1) suspension 2) LSD...when it comes to the suspension, you want to avoid too much roll as this will screw up the cars weight distribution ..so basically (or at the minimum) the suspension that you choose as to be somewhat stiff to avoid that..so I suppose you won't have any trouble with the leaf springs in that aspect. However, do try to get an LSD or as a final resort, weld the rear diff if you want to drift the car...its almost impossible to hold a drift with an open diff ..

Hope I was much of a help :)
