CF Hood & Hood Pins

If one were to have carbon fibre hood installed it is necessary to have hood pins as well? Would the relative lightness of the carbon fibre hood pose a danger in 'lift' at high speed runs?

Yes.Thats why you can see those cars fitted with CF hoods have hoodpins. As a secondary safety device.

i suppose it would be better.... i dun think so its necessary, but its better... its necessary if the hood u bought is NOT a direct fit (ie: u had to mod the latch or something to fit it).
