Can or Cannot?

Hie Everyone...I do have a few questions regarding the Civic ES 1.7's transmission...Can we change it to manual?...If possible, which model's manual transmission can be used?...How much is the manual transmission which can be fitted to Civic Es 1.7?...Will it cause any problems later?...Last but not least, from where can i get it in Penang or Butterworth...Thanks...

dis is a tough question..prolly ud wanna search 4 ES owners' club's forum n ask ard der?.....but i hardly c any manual conversion....they'll usually plonk in d K20AR halfcut ....serious...........

Hehehe.....once upon a time there was this guy called Snoop. He too thought of changing to manual tranny.......but after getting the proper quotation, he stuck to auto hehehehe

if u r using K20A3 if possible to change to manual transmission using K20A gearbox and it's accesories and it will cost u around 10k to 14k.

for 1.7 i never heard anyone change the transmission to manual.. :regular_smile:

snoop was asking for a manual GB for a K20A... this one D17... i think manual GB from a D16 can fit... anyway... good to ask guys from team ES

Thanks for answering my questions...Some told me i can change to manual gearbox but some said can't...So far i've found an ES 1.7 owner who actually converted to manual gearbox...According to westhug(his nick in here), he used a civic ES rs manual gearbox...That cost him rm2800 excluding labour....Thanks everyone..
