FYI, ive just installed an AVCR from KSP. The funny thing is although it's set at 0.9 bar with a duty cycle of 40%, it still spikes to 1.2 bar. Im trying to preserve my engine but after installing the AVCR it still spikes. What went wrong? Btw ive checked with my mechanic and was informed it has been installed properly :(

You can try to:

1) Lower your duty cycle
2) Faster feedback speed (towards 1)
3) Lower the start duty if it only spikes in particular gear
4) Off the self learning feature

Btw, where and when does it spike?

Am not sure at what rpm it spikes but by looking at my defi boost meter "Peak Mode" it reads more than 1 bar..

i think u should get Ext wastegate

i supposed ur using dump pipe rite...if YES it was the main reason why u still facing boost spike

Not using down pipe but like u said i should get the external wastegate

Dude,

I'm using DEFI meters as well. Not really that accurate as compared to the AVC-R boost readings or watever boost controllers you are using. My assumption is that the AVC-R is more accurate compared to the DEFI. How's the reading there? (I meant the boost reading on the AVCR)

use ur avcr to record the peak boost , or set the data logging for 2 channel, rpm and bst, alter the start duty at the rpm that has the peak

hi, im experiencing the same problems, even changed the actuator to the
turbo...... no change.... has anyone managed to fix this problem
with an external wastegate?
