Land Rover Malaysia has just launched the marketing campaign that will precede the launch of the acclaimed Range Rover Evoque in the fourth quarter of the year with a unique life-sized wireframe installation that will be on display at Pavilion shopping center in Kuala Lumpur.
Since the installation was first revealed at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, it has traveled the world over to locations such as Los Angeles, Miami, Moscow, Sao Paulo, Shanghai and Sydney as part of Land Rover’s global HelloEvoque campaign.
Malaysia marks the first Southeast Asian stop for the installation, titled Salam Kuala Lumpur HelloEvoque. Two units of the wireframe, constructed from steel tubes and painted in eye-catching lime green and neon blue, will be making appearances at various high-traffic locations around the Klang Valley for the next few months.
“We are extremely excited about the market potential and impact of the Evoque. It is a game-changer for the Range Rover brand as it defines a completely new segment in the SUV market. We are targeting a younger market who are style, technology and environmentally conscious. We believe that they will love its stunning LRX concept-based design, compact size and fuel efficiency. The Evoque offers a complete Range Rover experience in a smaller, more sustainable and attainable vehicle,” said Mohd Hazem Abd Rahman, Land Rover Malaysia Managing Director.
Land Rover plans to bring in both the three-door coupe and five-door variant of the Evoque with tow engine choices available, a 2-liter petrol or a 2.2-liter turbodiesel. Pricing hasn’t been finalized yet but the Evoque is expected to be the most attainable Range Rover yet.
Being the most anticipated Range Rover in a long time, demand will surely outweigh supply at the launch. As such, each global market will be allocated a limited number of units. In lieu of that, Land Rover Malaysia is now accepting bookings for the Evoque.
