Body Strengthening...

To all toyota owner(Especialy LE).

I am driving a LE. Change my absorber to adjustable last month. Ever since changed the absorber, my car got noise from all over the place(dashboard, door, bonet, hood, etc). Is it normal. How can I fix it. I know it is very hard to find out where the sound is coming from. Any suggestion?

One more favour....where can I do body strengthening for my car. As you all know....it is a very old car. I am planning to use the car for long. Is it adviseable to to do body strengthening?

body strengthening is an expensive process if u were to do it properly.
A lot of drifters in malaysia does that to their cars. U can go to the
local drift forum to enquire on costing & places. Minimum is $2000...
although I think that is not enough for a professional & proper body
strengthening job... it requires total strip down of parts, welding,
reinforcement, treatment for rust spots, etc... very very tiring process
& u need a spare car while u wait for your car to be repaired.

dont forget to install rear seatbelt if u going to strip of the whole car....
coz u plan to use for a long time.....hehehehe

seatbelt ruling is applicable for car registered after year 1995.

yes. for the rear only. front still need! that what i read about the ruling.

back to topics, so trd_1420, your adjustable absorber setup very hard? or you put it too low that i front and rear arm bush spoiled?

I think your adjustable is too hard for LE street usage. Better change to something a little softer. May I know why you want such a "hard" setup? Unless you're on track, you don't need such hardcore setup especially on Malaysian roads.

I'd strongly suggest checking out Ultra Racing if you plan to do bolt-on body strengthening on your LE as they have a complete range of strut bars for LE. Btw, mind sharing other mods on your LE?

sorry for interrupt since this topic discuss bout adj abs..may i know if spring rate 4.5kg for adj abs is considered hard or ok one?

if the adjsutable comes with hard soft, can adjust to softer setup, if not sorry lo hehehe.... if u try mine sure u will say "giler ka! jogging dalam kete!" hahaha....

pls share what part of the car body indeed was strengthen?
and how long the whole process took from the day u sent ur car in
'til the day u collected ur car ? and mind to tell the differences of your experience after that ?
