Big Vtec Distributor

can use SM4, EK.. for VTEC distributor?? VTEC distributor come with 2 connector X 7 wire right. Some sm4, civic, EK model got same connector 2 conector X 7 wire but base is little bit different. Rotary head also same. My pren used taiwan made (rm280- new) but after 4-6 months kong again. 2 time already. half cut sell RM500... not new

can use sm4 distributor internal, i've done that already. sm4 dist cost
like rm200-250 even 300... price gone up already coz they know we bought
it & install into vtec dist... not sure whether the wiring's the same tho.
b16a i ask 2-3 mths ago RM350... in kl la tapi.

i thought in seberang perai chai leng park u can get it quite reasonable price?

coil can get from spare part shop?? what a good news then. chai leng park also now sell it for rm480 wo.. even from 1/2 cut wo

sm4, civic ek got same wiring which mean 2 connector which 1 set with 2 wire and 7 wire. wire colour also same. i think should be ok.

need some help...
my civic distributor kong'ed today :( [1.6 non vtec, me516-, efi ]
the AAM technician test that the power is only up to distributor coil, from there to spark plug, no power...
tow my ride to Honda SC.. they quote rm1.9k for a new one...

guys, got any idea what actually might be the problem?
how much a new one actually cost, or 2nd hand in chop shop?
any alternatives to fit in other model distributor?

like hattech said.. it's repairable depending on damage. Go that route if budget concerns abound!

but the coil was working (tested with mentol)
i doubt all the 4 cable kong'ed O__o" (test with screwdriver, nothing)
any other possibility whats the prob?

possibly the rotor or contacts worn already.. thus no contact = no spark.

yeah, i forgot to snap pics...
but i do remember that the mechanic did sand-paper the contacts
since the car is already there, the option i have left are searching for cheap replacement or resort to their 1.9k..

in garage sale, theres someone letting go carparts for SO4 non-vtec engine, can fit?

if it s not the coil, it might be the main relay(fuel relay)...but i think the component in the distributor that looks like a square, thin, i dont know what its called...the best solution is look for the distributor
