wil_alastor, It cost some where in the region of 8-10K depending the amount of rework done to the Block/head like changing of Piston, belts, bearings, seals & P&P when you do the transplant. Makes sense to do it and it makes the engine more reliable for the long run.

as i know piston b18b 81mm low compression but the cranshaft , gasket head, belting and water pump same as b20 if not mistaken la. Low cost upgrade but powerful.

Yes, you are correct but I had swapped the pistons to a 11.7:1 - P30 Pistons giving it a higher compression.

Im also using b16A head and b18b block but u must do line oil vtec and cut the knocking sensor. So far ok no prob.

Can someone explain what does "must do line oil vtec and cut the knocking sensor" wats that all about??

Basicall, on a VTEC engine, oil is fed to the VTEC pressure switch by an orifice on the deck of the cylinder head matching up with a corresponding hole on the deck of the block and this is not available on the LS Block. Since the LS has no such hole, and you want VTEC to work this needs to be added.

rapinsoul ...i think same as b20, if u want use head b16a u must do line oil vtec to the solenoid valve coz b18b/b20 no vtec. Coz line oil vtec not same from block to the head b16a

Then cut off the knocking sensor from your ecu la if not check light menyala or make new one knocking sensor. Coz mine i have friend can cut off knocking sensor from ecu.

By cutting down the knocking sensor will it affect the engine? Basically what is Knocking Sensor For?? :confused_smile:
Is there any other mods besides both of these? man looking at all these scares me alot :mouth_closed:
