B16A CEL 6 - ECT Sensor

Greetings gentlemen,

I have this problem to share and needed some expert opinion:

I just changed new clutch and suddenly the CEL lights up won't go off. when I check, the code number is 6. I googled around and found out it's the Engine Coolent Temperature sensor. My speedo also is not working now (no VTEC for now) but that (code 17) doesn't show up when I check for the error code. what could go wrong, and how can I repair this?

I have no idea where the ECT sensor is as well.

Check the wiring on the ECT socket, its below the vtec solenoid. Most likely the mechanic left the speed sensor and ECT sensor as the wiring comes from the wiring loom at the gearbox. I had the same experience before, mechanic forgot to plug in the speed sensor after changing clutch. Good luck
