i don't know if it's the meter problem or maybe it is really a faulty meter....so here it goes...i bought 2 apexi el2 meters from half cut shop....it's an electronic version (not mechanical) of an exhaust temp meter and a fuel press meter....so at the back of the meter there's a slot for the socket which goes to the controller unit if i'm not mistaken...so my problem is i know that the two pin which is the left and the right one is the 12v and ground wire for the light...so when i connect those pins only the light of the needle is lighted instead of the el background light...do i have to connect it to the controller than only i can get the blue light? please help me coz both the meter i tested only the needle light is on =(

p/s: anyone knows any shop can repair meter lights? (if the light is faulty) can jalan pasar repair it aa? if can which shop at jalan pasar

i'm no expert but u need a control unit to make this type of meter work..the needle light is using a LED so do not connect a 12v to it or else u will burn the led..the el light need a thing called ballast(don't know what it's real name) to make them glow, this thing is inside the control unit.. just my 2 cent.. correct me if i'm wrong

thanks :)
