i'm currently running on msd dis2 ignition. improves response as it incorporate capacitive discharge technology. other features is the 2 step rev controls like a launch control and the step retard function if ur using NOS.

but its expensive unless ur really very serious in modding.

Hi there, Im just using it, but still learning how to play with the switch.. finally meet Manofwar user of dis2, I also use dis2, I don't understand 2 step function (do we need to install switch?), and retard timing (is it aotomatic?)..

mafia_staff: u need to install an optional spring loaded switch as when engaged, u pedal to the metal, ur rev will only max out at ur pre set limit aka 3.5-4K rpm for launch control. depending on how much u set. another rev limit is the rpm cut off feature. all settings is via rotary dials

seems like i not so understand because never seen it and none of my friends are using. Just a few picture at the internet and it didn't help much

I see, so I need to go Jalan Pasar and buy plunger switch to put under the clutch pedal.. got it, thank you.. the result after use MSD is engine respond very fast and any possibilities to detonate our pistons? hehehe currently just use SAFC2...

as long as its properly tuned.... no probs. hv been using it for the past 3 years already :)

there is a lot of ignition systems according to various type of engines
kindly look at the MSD site: http://www.msdignition.com

nop, they come out with many model which suite to certain application, like twin coil, single coil, distributor or else..

used MSD6AL + Tach adapter on my Toyota Corolla 4AFE...
not using the coil coz 4AFE original coil is in the distributor...
total cost @ RM1300... wired it myself...:proud:

response is marvelous...
Quote by EFN... "Close to Silvertop performance..."

but only last for 2years, mosty probably coz of engine bay heat...:bawling:
i've confirm this thru other forums...
cannot install inside the cabin coz there 'tok-tok' sound, worst than the normal aeroplane sound normally encountered...

'tok' 'tok' sound or 'trat trat trat' sound? Yes, better install this unit in cabin due to hot engine bay will damage this MSD unit..
