cliff lai = the boss from a shop name Podium Auto Gallery (the green shop) located in Sunway. deal with used performance parts from Japan. this picture was taken in tokyo auto saloon 2009 early this year. extreme mag requested some pics which taken in the auto saloon from cliff lai. probably they didnt ask who is the mine's boss n with their limit knowledge in motorsports so they tot is just a 'friend' of cliff lai.

... the thing which makes me most satisfy is that it is running a bnr34 6 speeds transmission. cant afford a bnr34 but at least i have the transmission, lol.

Actually this is quite interesting ... Just out of curiosity, how much effort to put the 34 box on the 33? Is it basically a straight bolt on, or were there a bunch of nightmares? I heard/read, basically requires the longshaft, frontshaft, modify the box mounting and the 34 flywheel set. Also, the final drive ratio for the 33 is much higher. What's your thoughts? Maybe I am wrong ... Care to share :hmmmm:

the front portion longshaft is r34 n rear portion remain r33. box mounting r34. r34 flywheel n clutch. center n rear differential remain r33 only the box is r34. yeah.. kee from links told me tis combination will get higher ratio than r34. not sure wat the ratio like now with tis rojak but definately can feel higher. like close ratio. he said mines in japan rojak like tis to get close ratio, dont know wheter is true.

You mean you were able to get the r33 tranfercase onto the r34 box? Wow ... Most I heard the 33 and 34 transfercase are different and does not match. Well, I guess if you have done it, it must have worked :adore:

Considering the 33 ratio is 4.11 and r34 is 3.9 something, basically to what I read (again), the 1st gear will be almost redundant on high launches. Certainly would be an experience to see what the matching has done to the drivebility ... It would probably feels more "torque" with all round higher ratios than than the 34. Have you tested between yours with a 34 match-up :smokin:

Was the R34 box installed at Links or did Speed-D already do it before?

If you say so ... Then, the "rojak" workshop seemed to have made things work when others says "impossible"

It just makes me want to source for the Extreme mag (omit the hp's claim) but I do hope there is much written about the 6-speed conversion :hmmmm:

May be threading on your path, if not very soon

Isn't the gearbox conversion a common modification? I've read many people do the getrag 6 speed conversion on their older GT-R's....
I was actually looking to do the opposite. Stick some BCNR33 front and rear diffs. on my car.

Why would you want to go opposite way? What I read is, if one were to go for very high hp's, they rather use a regular rear diff than then the weaker a-lsd.
