Alpine player

Hi,

i would like to know whether it is possible to use other cheaper model's
of the alpine face onto the 9811's unit?

i compared the pins on the player of 9835 and 9811, they got same amount of pins....

so wht do u guys think?? is it possible to get cheaper one, for eg. the used older units's face. :blink:

nope... not advisable also as there may be differences between the faces.

for the physical point of view they may look compatible
but from the electronic view the internal connections, firmware, IC, functions and what not are different. so i strongly advise against it.

don't think its compatible if not ppl will buy a 9831 chassis and opt for a 9835 face :P

it is not possible to get it seperately brand new.
if not, i will directly buy a new face from Alpine lo...

really no hope liao. BTW, anyone got faulty 9811 can sell me
ur face. ehehe...
