Hi guys,
Recently my Alpine CDA-7850R failed on me. Sent to an audio shop to repair and the boss said its not worth repairing. Looking for a replacement HU at the moment but with the budget of within RM500+- (budget stretchable if theres a best bang for buck deal). Prefer to get back Alpine. I guess with such low budget, I can only opt for used ones. Any HU to suggest?
After some surfing around, I've found that Alpine CDA-9831 (there are so many 98XX series and its confusing me!) is within my range.
Some requirements are the common MP3, CD-R, CD-RW (optional. beggars cant be choosers eh?), and swing face (optional as well but it'd be kinda nice to have it).
Any other Alpine models which are better than the CDA-9831 but still within my budget? Also open to other HU opinions but somehow I still prefer the looks of Alpine players (Eclips are kinda too plain IMO) :_:
Also how do I check the condition of the player? My previous player was having some serious CD skipping problem.
