Is this GTi worth it???
Hi Gti enthusiasts,
I need advice from you guys regarding a 2nd hand Gti I want to
buy. I am thinking of buying a 2001 Gti with stock standards except:-
Engine Mods:
- Mitsu ECU With J5 Remapped For GSR
- GSR Bolt On Turbo (Boosting @ 0.7 - 0.8Bar)
- Metal Gaskets
- GSR Pistons
- B8 Intercooler Nicely Hidden With GSR BOV
- Open Pod Filter
- Short Shift
Exterior / Body Mods:
- Stock Standard Looks With Slightly Lifted Hoods
- 15" Advanti with new tyres(95% Thread left)
- Very Minor Changes To The Grills (Painted It Gold)
- Auto Sunroof
- Most importantly it is accident free and can be verified by bringing in
for inspection.
- Exhaust system is changed but not stated.
I'm content with the car except that I'm worried about the turbo kit. At
what rate will it effect my car power/reliability/fuel consumption.
I'm going to meet the owner soon, what questions will I have to prepare and
ask him? Thank you for your advices and comments. It is highly appreciated.
