Accident : Police Report?

I have a crash which is similar. The other driver crash my car when I'm changing lane. Her car front side (left) hit my right side door (passenger).will I get summon in this case?

Depends on who is at fault. Kindly explain how did the accident happen.

If you are traveling on straight road and if she hits you when you are in your lane, she is wrong.
But if you are the one who came out from a junction and she is traveling on a straight road,
you are in the wrong.

So if you are not at fault, you won't get a summon but she will get a summon of RM300.
Depends on how serious is the damage for you to decide to claim on insurance for the damages.

Taken NCB into considerations as well. Once claim, u lose your NCB.

So depends if the damage worth to claim insurance or settle on your own.

But a police report need to make if she did not settle on the spot with you.

Do make report within 24 hours.

My friend had same accident as describe by you. From what I know, if hit your driver's door, means you cut into her lane. Since she hit your back door, means you are already in that lane and she hit you, so you are in the right. My friend was hit on the rear passenger door.
But then it depends on the police officer in charge....

We both are not in the lane. She is trying to change to her right lane (As what she said) where I'm goin straight from the back n trying to move into her lane. She hits my passenger door at the end...

Did you make any police report yet? Was it settled on the spot?

If both are changing lane and get into accident, then she is in the wrong since she hits u
at the rear passenger door.

If not yet, best make a police report, in case she did and she may said that you hit her instead.

But your case, she is trying to change to right lane and u r trying to change into her lane.
So, if she its u at the rear, she is in the wrong then.

Best to make report then. If she don't you are clear. If she does, the let police decide...

Nowadays police so nice already, if accident didn't involve with goverment's belongs such as road lamp post/sign post or whatever belongs to them, they won't summon. Except we wanna claim insurance, that summon is like a insurance claim procedure (must pay).
As my experiences, best things to do when involved in an accident that you think it was the other person fault, is take picture on the spot that shows both cars and road's lane as well. When it comes to report in police station, picture talks more than both persons that invloved. (save times)
If small matter forget it la, is just a transport eventhough we love our car, but have to face this reality.
