power?
price for half cut?
suitable for altezza or not?
which is best for altezza if i intend to do transplant?

standard engine has only 280hp (jap gov limitation) but with big potential...
1JZGTE halfcut price is between 3k - 8k (depand on version)...
yes, it is suitable for altezza but have to look for a front oil sump version... coz IS250/IS300 is comes 1JZGE/2JZGE front oil sump engine...
if u want a 6sp MT version, then u cannt get any VVT-i/BEAMS 1JZGTE...
VVT-i/BEAMS 1JZGTE only comes with AT tranny n single turbo but with wide torque band...
if u r really interested... pls get the halfcut without body parts... u need the complete wiring inclusive the dashboard's...

bro, 1j and 2j oem spec got single turbo one ar? not all 1j and 2j twin turbo ke?

any RWD car with long engine compartment can squeeze in this long 6 cylinders engine... u can get an old toy corona (last RWD version of corona) cost bout 3k to squeeze in a 1JZGTE... it is having a same front chassis as the old supra/ RWD celica (even the dashboard is the same with old supra MKII)... :cheers:

JZ has a lot of versions... :fear:
1. FE - no turbo
2. GE - no turbo
3. GTE - single turbo
4. GTE - twin turbo
lastest it comes with VVT-i or so called BEAMS with more drivable torque band or wide torque band... :driver:
 
i believed u will look for a standard / non-mod 1JZGTE for ur project...
so look at the torque band / max torque @ RPM...
coz all the GTE motors r limited to 280hp only...
all the GTE motors also have a very high potential to tune for max hp eg... 600 - 1000hp... n it is depend on how much u willing to spend...
if u want ur car to be more drivable / for daily usage... then u have to look for JZGTE with VVT-i / BEAMS with more drivable torque band...
if u decided to mod it, then u have to look for the MT tranny V160 6sp or R154 5sp to handle the amount of torque this motor gonna produce...

all VVT-i / BEAMS version JZGTE will be widely available at the lastest toy chaser halfcut but mostly r attached with AT tranny...
non VVT-t / standard JZGTE... look for supra MKIV... usually is a twin turbo version with availablity of MT n AT trannies...

usual mod of twin turbo JZGTE is... change it to single big turbo...

Thanx. I hv this old Daihatsu Charman (similar front chassis with toyota) with 4AGZE inside and im thinking to squeeze the 3SGTE or IJZGTE later, possible? Im just a newbie......opss...is RWD.. hehe

I think possible... just only the gear location abit problem....
My friend use the 1JZGTE twin turbo at Galant... damn powerful and drift able le.. :mouth_closed:

if it is a FWD... then u cannt squeeze in 1JZ or any other 6 cylinders engine...
but u can squeeze in a 3SGTE by mod ur firewall... coz 3SGTE needs slightly more clearence on the firewall n the radiator sides...

if it is a RWD... then u cannt put in a 1JZGTE or 3SGTE coz 1JZGTE is too long for daihatsu n 3SGTE nvr comes with RWD tranny except u r planing to put in 10k just to alter it to north south mount...

Maybe the 1G-GTE will do the nice job, but it is also six cylinders, rite?

if u decided to mod the 1JZGTE till it max performance...
better get the supra halfcut...
althought it doesnt come with VVT-i but it comes with 6sp MT... but u may face ur RPM meter malfunction coz both r using different RPM signal...

if u still want a VVT-i 1JZGTE... then u have to look for a separate 6sp or 5sp MT tranny... no point to mod a AT car coz the AT tranny will slip away most of ur torque n hp... usually u need to book the 6sp tranny from the halfcut shop... n william knows how to disable the AT function of the ECU n use it with MT tranny...

i dont think any RWD daihatsu car engine compartment is long enough to drop in a 6 cylinders motor... galant is 100% can drop in coz it has plenty of space... my friend did that with 2JZGTE... but nvr register with JPJ...

yes... 1GGTE is 6 cylinders motor...
simple is take a measurement of ur engine compartment... length X width X deep...
then go to the halfcut shop to measure the 6 cylinders motor... =)

1JZGTE is a powerful machine... my fren have to used inside his MARK II... he bought the h/cut RM2k++ only...not the supra cut but from MARK II... boost up a bit easily get 300hp...

anyone know where can get the hal cut and how much?........anyone can give comment if i will need to put into my altezza.......what else modification need to do.....? please advice............
