everything is stock.. only upgrade the turbo..

poor man car..
just repair the lower arms, drive shaft alone will make you go dry..
Are you doing a lot of full turns? or your drive shaft angle not good?:hmmmm:

nope.
maybe I drift too much.. shall stop drifting..

I also don't know what is wrong, but it seems most of the perdana owners confirm will have this drive shaft problem.
hopefully with this new mechanic, it will be resolved.

ermm, if I remember correctly

The one in green, is from evo, cost me rm 350 and I also modify the rubber to silicon type.
the one in black, is v6 type, cost rm280 for a recon.

my mechanic told me, sei is actually more suitable.

I only know drive shaft is expensive and common problem with perdana, always need to change.
this is the 3rd time I am changing again
wow!! bro, where did you get the silicon type from?

very common item in KL, I saw it in some perdana facebook group.
I think the price is like RM25 each?
we bought like 5 each, total 6 cars.

pretty durable as compare to rubber.

actually all these are little money, just workshop don't want to change for us.
everytime change the whole shaft.

RM25 each is cheap. Rubber ones cost more.....:smokin:

What was the last V6 production year?

Will buy the latest production year

Anyway will use in standard stock condition. Because the car will use for work. Need maximum reliability.

Hope the drive shafts will last longer in standard car

Only plan for Ultra Racing strut bars, Simota drop in air filter and larger S flow muffler to enhanced sweet V6 sound.

Already have turbo car for weekend drive

no worries la.

if standard auto V6 or RVR turbo auto, driveshaft buy new one brand ODM.
this one pretty good, warranty 2 years or 50K km, price around rm230/240.
i use this 3 years already no problem.

auto gbox, if dont have ATF cooler, install it.
make the ATF cooler hose go straight from gbox to cooler to gbox again.
dont let the hose go into the bottom of the radiator (originally it goes into the radiator)
usually after 150K km, the auto clutch will wear out, so that is the common problem.
send the gbox for overhaul and new clutch pack.

another thing, watch for white smoke.
usually the valve seal wears out, so need to do top overhaul.
if severe white smoke, then maybe piston ring out, need to do overhaul.

Hi,

anybody interested in building a weekend racer car?
what i had in mind is a small single seater car, powered by a motorcycle engine
and built in-house entirely, minimal mods, minimal upgrades,
just a light-weight and compact car for your weekend cheap thrill (not exactly that cheap also la)

how? anyone interested??
i'm really very interested in building such a thing

in fact, if anyone has any WILDER ideas of what to build, just suggest them, it'll be really fun if we can compile...
