having some difficulties here.

my perdana Sei engine is going to "kong" soon. i was thinking to change to V6 Na Auto engine. nowdays market was around rm1.5k for engine, wiring, ecu and gearbox. but one thing setback was need to go for JPJ inspection which might be cost another hefty amount which perhaps close to another rm1k. not to mention the workmanship fees.

Or should i re-built my existing engine like do a P&P & engine balancing on it? price wise should be around what the V6 engine cost and i should save up frm JPJ inspection fees and labour fees. But i doubt the power increasement can reach somewhere near to V6 output. on paper V6 was 150hp and Sei was 120hp. with P&P and engine balancing, i doubt can reach 150hp.

but if talk about future upgrades, understand gerard is undergoing for some supercharger kit which seems more likely is for perdana Sei model. on V6 side, there is nothing u can do about it.

so opinion needed

Bro,

U might be right about the fees related to JPJ inspection. If you really wanna save yourself from spending extra, I suggest you follow the first option.

It would definitely save you some hassle. Try to search past threads on fellow members who had to take thier car for inspection. Those stories are enough to give you nightmares for weeks.

You might actually gain a bit in terms of performace once the engine is rebuilt. Get a quotation from powerzone. I believe that they are really, really good at what they do. Make your final decision based on that.

Actually if u find a manual gearbox for the V6 engine is more fun to play with. Can install Hi-Cam, turbo etc.

The V6 engine should have more potential then the Sei engine. Coz i also drive a Perdana Sei, i use to tuned the engine until finaly i change into the 6A12.
