Neuton NT8000

After 3 sets of Bendix Metal King (Plus, Gold, Titanium), I am now on Trestor Blue Advantage......:driver:

After reading reviews online.. I have gotten the NT8000 for my daily driven EvoX.
Was using Falken 615K Semi slicks which is now put into storage for next Track Day.

Immediately when I drove out of the workshop...

Tires are so much quieter, no humming at all Comparing to the Semi Slicks...
Dry performance is awesome... can still touge and do some spirited driving.. So far haven't did extra crazy stuff to make it loose grip.
Wet performance is beyond expectations... It did better than the semi slicks in wet, with a few mm of water on road, the water cutting seems to be working fine... However in wet cement surfaces, expect some slipping... (Which is still ok for me... )

Price over performance... This is HIGHLY recommended... Got the same pair for Honda Accord, feed back was Comfort A+++
Ordering another pair for my friend's EvoX Up North...

Drove to Ulu yam, Genting and down via Ulu Yam. Loved these set. As hard as i pushed my car through the turns up Genting, there wasn't much understeer at all. Just grip and more grip.

And unlike my previous PS3 which chipped when i drove up genting, these set did not chip. definitely good news.

Reading tirerack reviews, seems these NT8000 are very good dry tyres. A few have issues in the wet, but then how wet is wet and what speed are not mentioned. One mention NT5000 in the wet is better. Anyway, seems a very good value for money tyres

Def nice to hear! How about the road there? Moist or sun dry?

I'm currently looking into NT8000 too..
Planning to change all 4 tyres.. 47000KM already...
For non-aggressive driver (maybe just speed 130-150km at highways), which would be better, NT5000 or NT8000?

NT5000 is directional and NT8000 is asymmetric. Read that in wet NT5000 better, however NT8000 is quiet..

Going to whack my NT5000 soon after getting my coilover installed. But it is rear set

Oh yeah, sorry forgot on this thread. Did a few small whack on corners, the car swings abit left and right while doing one corner. It was a vertically wavy corner, is this because of soft sidewalls? Because i have T1R on front and i found that NT5000 sidewall actually consider soft as well. Am thinking of grabbing some bar's after this :biggrin:

Soft sidewalls are good for comfort, less so for sharp cornering. I'm not sure to consider the NT8000 as hard or soft? I had no issues going up Genting. Other than the lack of power, that is. BTW are u the same KenDiriwan from lowyat? Lol

Try a little bit more air pressure.....

Yup, that should be enough. If it does not work, more air will make the ride very bumpy.
I had the same problem last time with T-1R on my VR. 33psi too soft for corner, to get it right almost 36psi but the ride was really bad...:banghead:

I pumped 35 for front n rear. But that was after driving for ~20km, so the tire pressure would be slightly higher. Lol. But so far so good
