Neuton NT8000

2nd month update :

Looks like almost every month need to top up air. One side seems to need more air than the other

Will get the tireman to check for leaks, especially at the air valve.

Every month is quite normal for top up.

For the air pressure difference.
The valve as mention by you.
Check for nail puncture also. Nail still stuck in the tyre sometimes very slow leak.
Check the tyre bead area against the rim. Sometimes got dirt also will have slow leak

Any impressions on the wet yet? E.g. 110km/h cruising against heavy rain. PS3 does very well with no aquaplaning at all.

Got the NT8000 a year back. Only used it for a couple of months then put on sale in Mudah.
Dry grip is acceptable but numb steering feedback and sucks big time in wet. Skidded once on wet MRR2 at 70km/h about 15 minutes after rain when a myvi in front suddenly brake for no reason at about 15 meter infront. Was planning whether to rear ended the myvi or hitting the divider while pedal to metal on the brake and downshifting. Lucky managed to stop less than 2 feet from the myvi.
Aquaplaning is worst than ATR Sports. The only plus point is by being quieter. Than again, we get what we paid for but I'd rather take Achilles ATR Sports over this one. Other cheaper alternative is Nexen N8000. But they are only suitable for leisure driving style which doesn't need a push at every chances. These are the tyres which we need to understand its limitation and make the most out of it before letting go off.

Ericmaxman, it's quite normal for the driver side to require more fill up than the rest as you may gain weight already...lol.
Yeah! get the valve and tyres check for puncture or leakage. Otherwise try nitrogen as mine using it only need top up every 3 months or so.

p/s: No doubt, PS3 is good in dry but its grip and traction in wet is good on mild and intermediate condition. I have used it during heavy downpour and it doesn't cut through as good as the deep directional tread of GSD3. Still slightly better than S.Drive and AD08.

Usually directional tyres have better aquaplane resistance vs asymmetric pattern tyres.
GY F1 GS-D3 is the king of the wet. S-Drive could be due to it being wider and AD-08 are extreme dry tyres

PS3 did very well. Much better than F1 GSD3 according to my friend who used both.

I guess you get what you pay for, look at Pirelli, such an established brand also they can't make an F1 tyre right. All these kucing brand, I think I won't even consider them. My life worth more than the money saved. Michelin or Goodyear for me.

Yup, Local Pirelli really priced out of my reach also. Anyway, their tyre review not all that great. Many friends who use also have bulging problem...:hmmmm:

Now running all fours on the NT8000s. Car does feel somewhat more comfortable :D

Will slowly run-in the tires first before trying anything silly.

Good to know! Meanwhile NT5000 is doing great on my ride, 2weeks old :D Unbelievable reliability for the price, let's hope it stays as the wear keep goes.

Okay, drive safe dude! Review here after u came down.

No prob! Also got new brakepads...

Did notice the car pull left if got puddle, but the puddle was very deep then the car will pull..was driving at 70+ I think..along Federal Highway..
