I don't like the Evo 5/6 hahahaha..

E8 is too "fat". Rounded a lot. 7 is way more edgy.
You don't like E5/6 also just because of the looks? I'm exact opposite, I don't like V7 at all.

You like the edgy look of E7 but you like the very cute rounded looking V7 instead of the much edgier looking E5/6??

Between E7 & 8, for me I prefer 8 not because of the looks but because it has 6 sp and slightly bigger fuel tank, plus the improved AYC. Appearance wise, I also still prefer the 8 just a tad because the rear wing looks more subtle. But E9 exterior is my favorite of all.

Still searching for the "right one".

I did some research on the E90 generation diesel cars. Parts are super rare in terms of halfcut locally and they aren't cheap new. The petrol variant has a lot more cheaper options. But the good FC and torque is a huge plus for me. I'm still waiting for your friend to respond though.

Maybe I already bought a car and I've just been quietly driving it around without announcing. Hehe.

Anyway I wanna make a video about this whole fiasco. And to teach people not to repeat my mistakes.
BMW E90 ... Ah remembered my days of researching and testing multiple units of this before i settled for my Volvo S60. To tell you my side of story, the only thingi think worth buying in E90 series is the 325i M-Sport, sold in between 2009 to 2012. The N52 6 cyl has so much omph and expected will perform better after remapped. But my source says that only additional 10 bhp were squeezed out from the already well mapped N52. If you can't find a decent 325i, you can try out 323i, same N52 engine without 3 stage intake manifold and less aggressive mapping.

Thanks,
Ken

After years of looking at Evolution series, i think the CN - CP series have the best styling throughout the Evolution lifetime. During my younger days, Evo is the "gangster" getaway car, and your peers will worship you like their king if you ever owned one. In Japan, i have seen more CP & CN Lancer Evolution than CT.

In terms of CT series, Evo8 takes the cake, the front diamond crest is so badass to look at, especially from the side.

Thanks,
Ken

You can la! I'm about to do that and I'm surely way much older than you!
You're hardcore, I'm soft porn :listen:

Damn. I feel ancient
Let me join you.

I did consider a Lotus before, briefly. And being in a cruiseliner now, I have no regrets. For daily driving I want 3Cs, comfort, convenience and chicks. Haven't gotten the last part yet.

Interesting view, I have always felt Evo8 was the ugly duckling in the family of the 7, 8 and 9.

The 7 was edgy, sharp angles. 8 was a bit rounded but just looked out of place to me. The 9 was more refined. It felt like the 8 was penned by someone who was not part of the 7.

Will it be difficult to maintain V7? Saw a lot selling... wonder what is the condition.
Nothing is difficult if you have lots of $$$.

NANI!!!! evo 5/6 dabes!
Yeah nah. 7/9 for life.

I think daily driving an Evo or WRX STi will grow tiring for an old fart like me.
Yeah agree. But if the car is anything like the racecar Saga FLX I'm driving now then I could live with it. I would hate it if the clutch is hard.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Evo and Subaru round/edgy look is very different. Can't compare the V7 and E7 la.

Odd.. the 320i I am messing with now has better torque than the 325i I came across. Let's see how it goes.

I prefer CT9A body style coz more modern and smoother a bit.

Lotus is hardcore, Evo is soft porn, anything below that is just rated R.

Initially when the 8 came out, I also didn't like it but it grew on me. If add carbon front lip and then it looks much better. Some people even cut out the triangle logo so it looks better and similar to E9. As for the E7, not quite a fan of the wing design but everything else looks nice.

Evo stock clutch is a bit hard for Japanese car but similar to those old German cars. If replaced with those twin clutch or super single whatever then becomes unbearable. CP9A clutch is a tad lighter though than CT9A.

Impossible, the 320i was worse than my Lancer 2.0 with CVT and 18" heavy wheels. The 320i i messed with is 17' M sport wheels and its acceleration is boring. The 325i is the perfect executive sedan for personal use but its costly to maintain. The freaking electric water pump is one of them.

Thanks,
Ken

Huh.. I've driven a stock standard Lancer 2.0 as well and I didn't like how that drove at all. And the 320i E90 i'm driving around atm has a barge heavy feel and it's the full Msport 2011 LCI 320i car too. I dunno - I prefer the BMW anyday over the Lancer. I'm just not a CVT fan except for the one found in the subaru impreza saloon car. That one doesn't even act like a CVT
